Circumstances:
On 22/08/2003 Joanne left a note for her boyfriend stating she was going to school and would be home in the evening. She did not return home. Enquiries made show that Joanne did not turn up at school. Later that day she was seen at the Knox City Medicare Office. Her vehicle was found on 12 September 2003 in the Gembrook area. She has not been seen or heard from since. At the time of her disappearance Joanne was 160cm tall, of medium build, light auburn hair, hazel eyes and a fair complexion.

On Saturday, October 13, 2007 an unidentified female body was found on Mt. Taurus “Bull Hill”, about a mile and a half from Breakneck Mountain, Hudson Highlands State Park. (Town of Phillipstown, Putnam County) The deceased is described as a white female with brown shoulder length hair and a small build, height 5’06” to 5’08”, weight 125-135 lbs., estimated year of birth 1942-1962, wearing blue “Cavaricci” jeans, blue sweatshirt, black sweater, black Reebok high top sneakers and sunglasses. It was estimated she had been deceased for just days prior to discovery. DNA and dental records are not available, but fingerprints are.
