Kim Teer has not been seen since August 1979. She had been spending the year backpacking around Australia with her border collie, Crosby.
She had made her way to Melbourne from her hometown of North Haven in New South Wales and was due to travel to South Australia when she disappeared. On 11th March 2015 the Victorian Coroner declared her presumed deceased in 1979.

At the Inquest her friend Ms Mudford suggested it was possible Kim Teer could cut off all contact and live in a hippy commune. Inquest item 59
michellemaree69 interestingly calls herself a “hippy rock chick” in her POF profile.
Mr Triggs, who was later cleared of any involvement with the disappearance of Kim Teer is alleged to have said ” Ms Teer did not want her mother to know where she was” Inquest item 71⁰
The 10cm difference in height could be explained by a simple typo of 165 instead of 175 cm
Kim Teers eyes were blue but could easily be changed to hazel by wearing coloured contact lenses.
It is not uncommon for members of a dating site to lower their age and put up a younger picture, which would explain the age discrepancy.

2012, April , an extensive media campaign including television, radio and newsprint about Ms Teer’s disappearance was undertaken.
2013, September 23rd, A reward of one-hundred thousand dollars was offered for information leading to the apprehension and subsequent conviction of the person or persons responsible for the death of Ms Teer
2015, March 11th, Victorian Coroner announces that Kim Teer is presumed deceased in 1979.
2016, November 21st, Above information regarding potential identification of Kim Teer reported to Crime Stoppers Victoria (CSV reference token available on request)
2018, March 21st, Kim Teer’s mother appears on 7.30 report amid calls for Australia to open a dedicated missing persons lab which would determine if any unknown “Jane Does” are Kim Teer.
